Woodo news
Trailers, demo drops, and the date — filed so you do not have to hunt socials.
This page is a running brief of public Woodo news. It is not a rumor mill. If Tiny Monks Tales or Daedalic have not said it on a store page, a trailer, or a press release, it does not belong here. For the locked date and SKUs, use release date and editions.
September 2026 — launch week
Official launch trailer (September 10). Daedalic and Tiny Monks Tales posted a final trailer ahead of the September 16 unlock. Same pitch, sharper cut: wooden dioramas, Foxy’s summer, no pressure. If you have only seen 2025 story trailers, watch this one, then the story trailer on the homepage.
Unlock: September 16, 2026 on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch, and Switch 2. This wiki will move from “upcoming” language to patch language once store pages flip. Until then we will not pretend the full game is already in players’ libraries.
Pre-order desk. Xbox tiles have shown Standard near $15.99 and Endless Summer near $19.99 during a sale window. Console announcement and Switch 2 upgrade notes are collected on pre-order. Play the demo first.
August 2026 — the date and the voices
September 16 confirmed. Gematsu and Daedalic listed Standard and Deluxe prices in the same beat. Deluxe contents (soundtrack, printables, cursor colors) are unpacked on editions.
Voices of Woodo. A short trailer introduced the multilingual narrators and repeated the date. English Foxy remains Miriam-Teak Lee. If you care which language you hear on the sofa, this is the video that proves the full-audio set is real, not a wish.
Pre-order trailers went up on PlayStation and ID@Xbox. They are shop windows, not new gameplay.
July 2026 — how it actually plays
“A Memory for the Breakfast Table.” Eight minutes of seating cups, food, and the grammar of a kitchen memory. That footage is the reason our Getting Started page talks about nested toys and pale wood.
Dusty loft exclusive look (Wholesome Games). Six minutes in Foxy’s den. That room is the spine of the demo walkthrough.
June 2026 — demo on more living rooms
Steam Next Fest brought the existing demo to a bigger audience and, importantly, to PS5 and Xbox with Switch following. Some coverage called it “new and extended”; follow-ups clarified it was the same slice with wider access. Either way, you can play it. Official demo URLs sit on stores.
March 2026 — Nintendo Indie World
Switch and Switch 2 were dated to summer, later nailed to September 16. Joy-Con 2 mouse support is the Nintendo-specific reason to care. Control details: Controls.
2025 — the year the demo existed
- August 2025: Steam demo. Studio notes: gamepad yes, rumble unfinished, Steam Deck early, no touchscreen.
- August 2025: Women-Led Games trailer with Miriam-Teak Lee speaking as advocate and as Foxy.
- February 2025: ID@Xbox story trailer — still the cleanest story pitch, embedded on our homepage.
2024 — awards and consoles
Woodo was nominated for Most Wholesome at gamescom 2024, showed up in women-led and cozy showcases, and later added PS5, Xbox, and Switch to a PC-first plan. That history explains why a tiny three-person team has a Daedalic storefront on five platforms.
What we are watching next
- Day-one patch notes (especially rumble and Deck)
- Final soundtrack track count on Steam DLC
- Whether demo saves mean anything
- Community names for rooms beyond the scene list
When those land, they will be added here first, then copied into Guides only if they change how you play. For Discord, TikTok, and the official site, use community.
If you only have time for one video this week, watch the launch trailer, then play the demo. Trailers are adverts. The loft is the product. The review page exists for people who want adjectives after that, not instead of it. Wishlist on stores if the click landed. Come back here on September 16 for the first true patch sentence.
